The Gala Apple Tree (Malus domestica ‘Gala’) is one of the most popular apple varieties in the United States, prized for its early production, low-maintenance growth, and consistently delicious fruit. Known for producing apples years sooner than many traditional varieties, Gala is an excellent choice for home orchards, backyard growers, and edible landscapes looking for fast results without added complexity.

Gala apples are sweet, aromatic, and crisp, with firm flesh that’s perfect for fresh eating, salads, baking, and sauces. This variety is also naturally resistant to many common pests and diseases, making it a strong option for organic and low-spray growing practices. Once mature and established, a healthy Gala apple tree can yield an impressive 6–12 bushels of apples per season, delivering reliable harvests year after year.

For gardeners seeking a productive, early-bearing apple tree that combines excellent flavor, dependable performance, and ease of care, the Gala Apple Tree is a proven favorite that belongs in every well-planned orchard.
