Grow Tubes are plastic tubes that protect and nurture young seedling trees. The semi-opaque plastic functions as a greenhouse, allowing light through while preserving moisture, fostering an environment for fast growth. In addition, the tube provides a defensive shell to protect young trees from the elements and wildlife. Grow tubes are valuable planting aides, especially in locations where there is less opportunity for care or abundant predation from wildlife, such as a forest food plot. Grow tubes dramatically increase growth rates, and one-year seedling often grow out of the top of a 4’ tube in 1 season! The grow tube stays on until the tree outgrows the tube, usually after 4-5 years.
