Enhance your landscape with the Chinkapin Oak, a stunning and hardy deciduous tree prized for its adaptability and ornamental beauty. This medium to large-sized oak features an open, rounded canopy and unique toothed, chestnut-like leaves that turn a gorgeous yellow to golden brown in the fall.
Perfect for yards, parks, and large landscapes, the Chinkapin Oak thrives in a variety of soil types, including dry, rocky, and alkaline soils. It is a long-lived, drought-tolerant, and low-maintenance tree, making it an excellent choice for homeowners and landscapers seeking a durable shade provider.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, this native North American oak produces small sweet acorns that attract wildlife such as deer, squirrels, and birds. Its strong, disease-resistant wood and adaptability to urban environments make it an eco-friendly and resilient addition to any setting.

Watering | Newly planted trees should be watered regularly. This is the most critical step in the establishment of your new trees. Please see the Watering section under "How to plant and grow" in our Learning Center. |
